Do you take custom orders?

We sure do. If you have a photo or sketch of something you don’t see in our online store or Facebook, we would be happy to give you a custom price on it. Just email over the details to orders@therusticacre.com and we will get back with you to discuss. Or feel free to give us a call (979) 820-7202 so we can talk through it together.

How long will it take to get my piece of furniture?

We keep our lead time updated on our Shipping and Lead Time page. When your order is placed we give you an approximate finish date for your piece based on the current wait list. All items listed in our store are made-to-order. We do not carry an inventory on any items. 

How does the buying process work?

Buying furniture from The Rustic Acre is easy! Just add one (or several pieces) to your shopping cart and checkout! We are happy to take all major credit cards and Pay Pal. For custom orders- we will send you an invoice after we have finalized the details. 

Do you build baby furniture, what about that crib on Pinterest? Can you give us a building plan?

So this is our most searched piece. Our most requested item. Our most popular item asked about on our contact page. We filter through these messages and unfortunately get so many questions...we can not answer them all. Unfortunately, due to insurance requirements and liability...we do not build baby furniture. We can not send you a plan or even advise you. While we know we build a solid piece and it is a BEAUTIFUL crib. Due to the strict guidelines and number of lawsuits annually to baby furniture companies- we can not even discuss the piece without liability. We apologize for the inconvenience.

PLEASE READ BEFORE ORDERING: 

Please note that every piece of wood is different and when working with natural elements and custom stains, results will not be identical with each piece. Wood is a natural product and each piece has its own character- that is the beauty of working with real wood. We strive for 100% satisfaction. If you have any concerns with your custom piece please do not hesitate to contact us.

ALL orders are taken on a first come, first serve basis. It is custom, handcrafted and each piece is personally built by us (not bought wholesale elsewhere and finished by us) ... so it takes time! :)

Occasionally, there may be circumstances that will push the order completion time further out. For example, we work inside and outside. Our weather can and does have an affect on our production time - for both construction and finishing (i.e. rain and humidity). These adverse conditions slow down production and drying times. We take pride in our work and take time on each piece that is hand built, hand painted and hand packaged for shipping...no production line here, folks! a staff of 2: HUSBAND + WIFE. The Lead Time given is APPROXIMATE and our best educated guess at the time of your order. We do everything we can to stay on our production schedule - but things just happen sometimes (usually weather) . And, we will let you know if that's the case and will keep you informed. 

That being said, we work on one order at a time. Each piece is made/built by us personally and we won't let it leave "the shop" until we are satisfied it can make it's journey home in pristine condition.

 

FURNITURE CANCELLATIONS: 
If you cancel an order, you will be charged your deposit (50%) plus any materials that we may have purchased. If you cancel your order and it has been started, you will still be charged for the entire amount (except for shipping).

 

PAINTED SIGN AND DECOR CANCELLATIONS:

Order must be cancelled within 24 hours of purchase or full amount will be charged.
